Artist Reception at Firehouse Arts Center
It’s Sunday night. Now that the emotions have settled down a bit, it’s time to reflect on yesterday’s artist reception at the Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton. All modesty aside — it was an absolute blast! 🎉
I was incredibly touched by how many friends and neighbors from all over the Bay Area came out to support me. I genuinely didn’t realize I had so many admirers of my art, and I’m so grateful to everyone who spent a busy summer weekend traveling to Pleasanton with their friends and families ❤️
I’m also so thankful to my husband Paul and my son Marty, who helped me set up the reception table with snacks and refreshments and stayed by my side for the entire event, helping entertain our guests. Once it was over, we treated ourselves to some delicious ice cream from the Meadowlark Dairy across the street, relaxing in the shade of a big tree.
And of course, none of this would have been possible without the Pleasanton Art League, who gave me this amazing opportunity to showcase my work for almost two months in such a beautiful venue. A huge thank you to Alana Shoars, Zelda K, and Sydney Tang for their invaluable help.
Three pieces were sold during the reception and will head to their new homes once the exhibition wraps up! The show will remain open until September 5th, so there’s still plenty of time to stop by and check out my watercolor display on the second floor of the Firehouse Arts Center. Welcome!
