Fresh From The Easel: Summer Ride

The hot summer days have finally come to the East Bay. Time for sundresses, sandals, and straw hats! Time to pull out the kiddie pool from the garage and hear my son splashing and having fun all day. Time for soccer season and trips to the waterparks.

Boy, do I love summer! I love the bumblebees hovering over the blooming clover, the smell of freshly cut grass in the park across the street, and family dinners under the big redwood tree. And, of course, time for crickets when the night falls.

All of this inspired me, and it was finally time for this painting to come to life! By the way, this is my first artwork done with my brand new Daniel Smith professional watercolors. Love them!
