I have exciting news to share! While I’ve been teaching art to kids for some time, my very first watercolor workshop for adults and teens is coming up at Studio 55 Martinez — a true hidden gem with an intimate art gallery and a wonderfully equipped studio space.
In this two-hour hands-on workshop, we’ll dive into the expressive, textural side of watercolor. You’ll experiment with organic, unpredictable effects using everyday materials like table and sea salt, plastic wrap, and controlled splattering techniques. We will begin with test swatches to see how pigments interact with moisture and additives, and finish with a completed, atmospheric, ready-to-frame whimsical Nordic landscape.
No prior painting experience is required — just curiosity and a desire to create.
